Joan Girardi [userpic]
Birth: Backdated to June 21

It was happening so fast, her brain could barely keep up. Between he pushing, three pressure,a dn the pain, she was having a hard time keeping her focus at all. But she didn't want to miss anything. She wanted to be aware and alert when her daughter came in to the world.

She felt a sudden shift in pressure, a sudden swoosh of everything inside her. She gripped Bliss' hands all the harder as the pain travelled up her spine. She grunted and groaned, instinct telling her to push...ANd then relief as the burden within her was pushed out.

The room was deathly ilent for a moment as Aille worked furiously...and then there was a tiny cry that pierced the silence and Joan fell back on the pillows with tears suddenly streaking her face.

Tears of relief, tears of joy. She smiled at Bliss. "We did it..." she murmured, lacking any real strength.

Watching Aille quickly washing their daughter off, Bliss leaned over and give Joan a soft kiss. "You did it, and she's absolutely beautiful love." He couldn't believe how perfect she was.

((OOC: just doing this quickly so it can be a Bliss/Joan/baby thing. I'll let you do the choosing of all the vitals.))

After cutting the cord and giving the baby a quick rub down, weight & lenght check and wrapping her up in a blanket, Aille gently placed the baby girl on Joan's chest. "I'd like for you to meet your daughter Joan." A tiny cry was coming from her, "And from what I can tell, in perfect health. You both did a wonderful job."

Joan was exhausted. Totally wiped out. But having that baby in her arms...She couldn't help but smile.

"She's so tiny..." Aille told her the baby weighed 5 pounds, 13 ounces. She was eighteen inches long.

She knew from holding Angus and Brigid how t hold the baby with respect to the wings, which were still quite a shock to her, even though she'd known and expected it.

She strained her neck slightly, just enough to give the child a kiss. "Welcome to the world, Serenity," she murmured and looked up at Bliss, grinning wide.

"Tiny, but beautiful, just like her mother." Bliss touched the soft brown hair on the top of Serenity's head, "Happy birthday beautiful." Grinning at Joan and just feeling like a proud dad.

JOan grinned up at him. "You want to hold her, Daddy?"

Whispered as he stroked that tiny head, "Can I?" He'd held the twins a thousand times by now, but the thought of this little one was almost scary and elating at the same time.

"Of course you can." Joan gave him an intense look. Oh yes. She wanted to see him holding his daughter for the first time. He ws so good with the twins, but this...this was his own baby girl.

Very carefully he picked his daughter up, cradling her in his arms just like he would either of the twins and smiled brightly. "She so heavy. So much more than the other two." Gently stroking the still damp wings, watching them flutter, "She's perfect Joan, just like her mother. Thank you."

"I'd say she's perfect just like her daddy." Joan smiled at him. And the image of him holding Serenity. She closed her eyes trying to implant that image in her mind for all time.

Leaning down, Bliss gently kissed the top of Joan's head before turning his attention on Serenity again. She was perfect with her ten little fingers and ten little toes. And her wings... so tiny and fragile. She looked so delicate and wonderful. Whispering to Joan, "Thank you."

"I didn't do it by myself, you know." Joan reaches up to run her finger over the baby's arm, let it follow through to Bliss' arm.

"But, I'm not doing this again for a very long time."

"No, I don't want to see you have to go though this for a long time." Gently stroking Joan's cheek, "we have forever." He was completely facinated with the baby in his arms.

Joan scoots over a little. "Sit with me."

Sitting down gently so not to jar Serenity who was falling asleep, "I love you Joan."

She slides an arm around him, her head on his shoulder, other hand touching the baby. "I love you too, Bliss."

Kissing the top of her head and smiling softly, "She looks just like you."
